Rachel Derby
Associate Registered Marriage & Family Therapist
Maybe you understand that something isn’t working, but you’re not sure how to change it. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling emotionally overwhelmed or disconnected, repeating familiar patterns, or wondering why certain experiences affect you as deeply as they do. You may simply want to understand yourself better, feel more like yourself again, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative. I strive to make therapy feel comfortable and approachable while helping you gain new insight and gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Using evidence-based techniques informed by neuroscience and the mind-body connection, we’ll go beyond simply talking about what’s happening to understand—and work with—the patterns shaping how you think, feel, and respond.
Therapy is tailored to you and may integrate Brainspotting, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness and mind-body practices, and parts or inner-child work informed by internal family systems (IFS). I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with Journey Clinical when clinically indicated. Together, we’ll turn insight into meaningful change so you can feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and confident about what comes next.
